Delivery of Heavy or Bulky Items
Paving and other large items are delivered to the kerbside using a large vehicle with a tail-lift for offloading. Please let us know at the time of ordering if this vehicle is too large for your property or access. In some cases, we may be able to provide a smaller delivery vehicle for an additional cost—please ask if this is needed.
Access Requirements
The delivery vehicle requires a hard-surfaced road and clear access to your property. Please ensure the route and delivery location are free from obstacles such as overhanging trees, cables, or other obstructions.
Delivery Surface Requirements
The delivery point must be flat, level, and on a hard surface such as concrete or tarmac. Grass, soil, or gravel surfaces are not suitable. Deliveries are made to the kerbside only, using a manual pump truck for offloading.
Checking Your Delivery
Please inspect your goods upon delivery and note any visible damage on the driver’s paperwork. In most cases, it’s best to accept the delivery, even if there are a few minor breakages, so the driver can complete their route.
Delivery of Your Pallet
Paving pallets are heavy and sizeable. Once delivered, you are responsible for moving them safely. Ensure there is enough space around the pallet for the pallet truck to manoeuvre.
Take great care when opening crates, as slabs can become unstable once packaging and straps are removed. Always support the slabs during unpacking and wear suitable protective footwear and gloves.
Specialised Delivery Vehicle Options
Our standard service does not include Hi-Ab (crane) or Moffett (mini-forklift) deliveries. However, for larger orders, we may be able to upgrade your delivery to one of these specialised vehicles. Please contact us for details and availability.
